I can't stand sitting around with people
When all we do is to look into our phones
And instead of talking with each other
We're acting like we're all alone
I don't know what happened to us
We prefer screens over friendship and trust
And instead of hanging out with our friends
We stay in our homes and play stupid games
And when comes the time and we're finally outside
All we say to each other is "What's up?" and "Hi!"
We dont speak, we don't laugh, we don't even cry
I can't stand sitting around with people
When all we do is to look into our phones
And instead of talking with each other
We're acting like we're all alone
I can't stand sitting around with people
When we let distractions to take us away
And all the fun we had just disappeares
Because no one has something to say
Life just seems a lot less exciting
When even your friends are commited to nothing
But being drawn into this small prison cell
Of lifeless behavior and virtual hell
We might think we are getting a bit more "connected"
But instead we're becoming alianated
We don't speak, we don't laugh, we're not even frustrated
Don't let yourself become addicted
To this tiny machine
Don't let it take over your life and become
A part of your daily routine
The fear of missing out
Only makes us miss more
We might be more connected by phones and computers
But in real life it's way worse than before
I don't know what happened to us
We prefer screens over friendship and trust
And instead of hanging out with our friends
We stay in our homes and play stupid games
But no, I don't want it to be this way
No, I don't want us to be astray
So let's just stop being in this state of rejection
It's time for us to break the disconnection!
